Initial Consultation Agreement

This Initial Consultation Agreement is made between the Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultant (RCIC), Kavita Harsana (R731469), and the client.

The client agrees to pay the fees indicated in the booking tool for the selected online consultation services.

The purpose of the consultation is to provide the consultant with sufficient information to allow for a full analysis and comprehensive advice on immigration options, including estimated time frames, consultation fees and costs.

Service Scope:

In consideration of the fees paid for the appointment/consultation booked by the client, RCIC agrees to do the following:

  1. Offer one-time consultation via Microsoft Teams/Zoom (if virtual)

  2. Collect and review information and questions provided by the client

NOTE: This session may be recorded for quality assurance and legal purposes. The session recording cannot be shared with anyone, except for Canadian Government Authorities. After the above-mentioned service is delivered, if the client still needs further services, the client should either choose to book another appointment/consultation or retain the RCIC for the Full Representation Service (if required).

Client Responsibility:

Client must provide the RCIC with such factual information and documentation as are required to perform the consultation. Client must be accurate and honest and must inform RCIC of all information, even if negative or adverse, which might be relevant to the advice provided by RCIC in this matter. Failure to fully disclose all relevant information to RCIC will impact the advice given by RCIC and may void this Agreement, or seriously affect the outcome of the application of Client or the retention of any status that Client may obtain.

The client must understand that purchasing this service, consultation, or appointment does not imply RCIC or Unison Immigration Consultancy's involvement in job placement or visa application filing. Additionally, the client needs to understand that RCIC or Unison Immigration Consultancy does NOT provide job opportunities, employment-related services, and/or offer assistance with job placement.

Time Zone:

We are located in Ontario, Canada and therefore, we follow Eastern Time (US and Canada).
It is Client's responsibility to match the time zone for the appointment.

Communication:

It is Client's responsibility to check all the email(s) and/or text(s) from Unison Immigration Consultancy and take a follow up in a timely manner.

Advice current on date of consultation:

The advice provided by the RCIC to Client is based on the Canadian immigration law and policy current on the date of the consultation where relevant. The RCIC is not responsible or accountable for any change in government legislation or policy that may impact the processing of any subsequent application by Client.

RCIC shall provide consulting services to Client to the standard of a competent CICC member. RCIC does not guarantee that she will be able to assist Client in meeting his or her business, education, employment or immigration goals.

Confidentiality:

RCIC is required to preserve the confidences and secrets of Client. This professional obligation exists to encourage candid and complete communications between Client and the RCIC. All information and documentation provided by Client and reviewed by the RCIC will not be divulged to any third party, other than RCIC’s agents and employees, without prior consent, except as demanded by law.

Refund/Cancellation Policy:

Cancellations initiated with a minimum notice of 48 hours before the scheduled appointment will incur an administration fee, encompassing spot reservation and payment gateway/processing fees. The deduction amount may be up to 50% of the total payment, with the remainder being eligible for a refund.

  • Refunds or rescheduling cannot be facilitated for instances of no-shows, late entry to the meeting, client-side issues (including, but not limited to, network, technical issues, or time-zone confusion), or cancellations made within 48 hours of the scheduled appointment time and date.

  • All appointments can be rescheduled by emailing us, the latest before 48 hours of the scheduled appointment time & date.

  • There will strictly be no refunds after the completion of the online/in-person consultation.

Zero Tolerance Policy:

Any sort of offensive, insulting or rude behavior will not be tolerated under any circumstances, via email, phone, during virtual meeting or in person meeting. Also, any derogatory comments on any religion, race, gender, nationality or political opinion will not be tolerated. Unison Immigration Consultancy reserves the right to remove you from any event in advance or on-site at any time with no refund provided.

Signing:

Both parties agree that this agreement does not need to be signed electronically or physically, and the agreement come into effect once the client completes the appointment/consultation booking and pays the consultation fees.

This agreement shall be governed by the laws in effect in the Province of Ontario and the Federal Laws of Canada applicable therein.

Please be advised that Kavita Harsana (RCIC #R731469) is a member in good standing of The College of Immigration and Citizenship Consultants (CICC) and as such is bound by its By-Law, Code of Professional Ethics, and Regulations.

By paying the fee through the appointment booking tool/ Invoice the client agrees that he/she has read this initial consultation agreement and its clauses and agreed to the terms and conditions outlined in it.

IN WITNESS THEREOF, this agreement has been duly executed by the parties hereto on the scheduled appointment/consultation date.
